During the
discussion of this issue members of the Committee claimed that customs
authorities of the Russian Federation implement actions that lead to disruption
of Ukrainian goods delivery to the territory of this country, that influence
the timeliness of customs clearance, spoiling of the goods, etc. At customs posts vehicles are stopped the
goods are checked for no obvious reasons. People’s deputies think that such actions
are aimed at losing Ukrainian markets on the territory of the Russian
Federation. It was also stressed that it is highly important for Ukraine not to
deteriorate trade relations with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in connection
with the formation of the Customs Union.
Participants of the meeting think that it is necessary to form a center for consultations and assistance in resolving international disputes to process and submit for approval to the Cabinet of Ministers respective rules that would regulate the procedure for practical application of the mechanisms stipulated by the WTO agreements in case foreign countries carry out any discriminating and other hostile actions towards Ukrainian participants of foreign economic activity.
